Most who know me know I am a trained pastry chef who still does a lot of baking on the side! This summer I baked a lot of goodies and even made shrinky-dink art which uses #6 plastic and gets baked in the oven for a few minutes. These I made for a friend's birthday...she is a Zumba instructor and loves pineapples and Pusheen cat. (Oh and the box they are in is a Russel Stover's mini chocolate box covered in scrapbook paper with a little Washi tape to help open it!)
I also made her some pineapple magnets using scrapbook paper, Aleene's Tacky Glue, glass pebbles from Dollar Tree and small magnets from the 99 Cents only store!
And now for the baking... Pineapple Upside Down cake (my husband's favorite), Butter cookies, Pecan Pie (also my husband's favorite) and Salvadoran Fig Tart (ha...also my husband's favorite!)
I also got adventurous and made won-ton wrappers from scratch and filled them with a french onion cream cheese filling...
So cool! I learned how to perfect french fries in my deep fryer. :)
