COVID Memorial Quilts

In 2020 13-year-old Madeline Fugate wanted to acknowledge and memorialize the lives lost to COVID-19. Inspired by the AIDS Memorial Quilt that Madeline's mother had worked on, the quilts have become a living memorial. Madeline's vision has grown from one quilt to many quilts. The display can be seen on the 4th floor of the Health Sciences Education Building on the PBC campus in downtown Phoenix. To learn more about the quilts visit here. Anyone can submit an 8x8 square to honor a loved one.
