On January 13th, working with teaching artist and puppeteer Ruth Annie Wilson students learned how the collaborative and creative process of performing arts relates to surgery. In this interactive workshop, students had the opportunity to work with puppets and learn the similarities of skills needed for both professions.
"The language of performance is embedded in THE culture of surgery—surgeons 'perform' operations, work in an operating 'theater' and use 'instruments.'" Professor Roger Kneebone, The Center for Engagement and Simulation Science, Imperial College London, UK
