Fall Leaves

Introduction

Fall colors provide us with a rich palette of burnt orange, golden yellow, sienna brown, and fern green.  The theme of this week is to use fall leaves in your journal.

Ideas

Create a frame (with paint, ribbon, or washi tape) around a leaf, using this as a central focal point on your page. (Glue the leaf in place with gel medium)

Use the leaf as a stamp (paint one side of the leaf and apply as a stamp – for more veins paint the back of the leaf, or use the front for a smoother effect)

Use the leaf as a stencil and trace around it or use a sponge and paint around it.

Homework

What’s in your Bag?

Empty out your purse, wallet, backpack or tote that you carry around on a daily basis and create a journal page about the items contained within.  What do these items say about you? No bag? How about what you keep in your car?
