BUILD YOUR OWN BUSY BOX OF CREATIVE AND FRUGAL SUPPLIES FOR ART JOURNALING
1. An old toothbrush (for splatter painting) 2. Corrugated cardboard coffee sleeves (stamping) 3. Tissue paper from shoe boxes (mixed media painting and collage) 4. Discarded sheet music 5. Used tea bags 6. Bubble wrap (stamping and printing) 7. Plastic bottle and jar lids (To use as stamps and mini paint or water containers) 8. Bottle caps (preferably smashed)
9. Raffle tickets 10. Shiny candy wrappers 11. Parts of old and unwanted clothing (Buttons, pieces of the fabric, ribbons or ties, zippers, pockets…) 12. Newspapers printed in a language or alphabet other than one’s own 13. Wrapping paper 14. Old books 15. Needle and thread. (A little stitching adds line, texture, and the hand of the artist.) 16.
