Meet Hanna LoGrasso
Senior Program Coordinator, COM-Phoenix Academic Affairs
Describe your morning – what time do you get up, what do you do first, next and what is for breakfast?
Work mornings, I usually wake up about 7:15 (if it’s a weekend I prefer to sleep in until about 8:30) and after getting ready, I head downstairs and “wake up” the birds and give our Chihuahua (almost 16 yrs. old!) her AM heart medication and water pill. After that, I log into work and check emails, etc. I usually don’t eat until later and it consists of some sort of fruit (peaches are my favorite at bfast!), toast and Greek yogurt (with some cereal in it), and a vanilla drink that has some extra vitamins, minerals, and protein in it (for an extra “kick” of nutrients).
What happens next? What do you do for lunch?
I usually have lunch sometime mid-afternoon and as I’m not a big “lunch eater” I don’t usually have too much – some veggies, Greek yogurt, string cheese – those sorts of “snacky” things.
What do you do for dinner?
Dinner I usually eat with my husband in the “man cave” while we watch YouTube or Netflix. He’s an excellent cook (I am certainly not!) so if I’m in charge – we’re using the Instant Pot or soup or sandwiches ☺
How do you end the day and what time do you go to bed?
I usually end the day watching the TLC show 4 Weddings, eating a snack , and then heading to bed about 12am.
What art are you doing and when do you do it?
I love painting, drawing, and making gifts for other people. While I have tried various art forms (sewing, clay, etc.) painting/drawing are my favorites. I prefer acrylic, but will also use watercolor and pens/colored pencils at times. I usually do my art on my days off or the weekends while I’m listing to the radio (Klove, Family Life Radio, AirOne are my favorites)
What are you reading?
The Bible is always my book of choice. Through it, I am reminded of God’s love for me, His message of salvation and how to live life! I use the Bible-In-A-Year app on my phone that breaks the Bible into different chapters/books/verses that are then compiled into daily readings (so the readings will consist of some New Testament and some Old Testament).
What are you streaming?
Well, that’s a hard one because I feel like we’re always looking for something new to watch. Ones that I have seen in the past and really enjoyed are: Jack Ryan, The Crown, Stranger Things...We recently watched Murder Mystery and that was really cute (albeit it’s a movie, not a series).
How are you feeling?
Joyful and at peace. I miss everyone (I’m an extrovert by nature) and I can’t wait until we can be out and about doing things as my husband and I are very active – attending fairs/festivals/museums/cultural events, etc. - but I am at peace because I know the Lord is working through this and growing my character in the process.
What’s the first thing you’re going to do when the quarantine ends?
Eat IN at a restaurant and go to church (which is held in a coffee shop) ☺
I love the artwork of your animals and I love how you have done it on different mediums!
Beautiful art!
